We are delighted to invite you part 1 of 2 in the UKCPA Surgery and Theatres Committee webinar series on vascular surgery.  This session will cover what vascular disease is, plus Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) including treatment with Iloprost and diabetic foot infection and treatment pathways.

This webinar will be beneficial to pharmacists of all grades who are interested in vascular surgery and post operative management of these patients.

The aim of the session is to equip pharmacists with the skills to optimise pharmaceutical care for vascular patients, to understand the treatment options available and how the pharmacist can contribute to the multidisciplinary approach.

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Discuss the pathophysiology of PVD
  • Discuss the treatment pathways available
  • Describe how pharmacists can contribute to the multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best outcome for the individual patient
