This is the fourth and final webinar in our series: Heart failure focus.

All four countries of the UK are starting to systematically adopt Advanced and Consultant level credentialing into future pharmacist career pathways. These levels of practice require the profession to develop pharmacists capable of high-levels of skills across four professional pillars: professional practice, leadership and management, education, and research. This webinar will review and demystify advanced and consultant-level practice, and will help pharmacists understand how to get started on this journey.

This event is ideal for Pharmacists with an interest in heart failure that are looking to credential with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society at either Advanced Practice or Consultant Practice level.

The aim of the webinar is to provide the knowledge required for the attendees to be familiar with advanced practice and consultant practice credentialing through the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Compare and contrast Advanced and Consultant level pharmacist practice
  • Describe how to get started with a Royal Pharmaceutical Society professional portfolio
  • Discuss the principles of how to balance evidence in a Royal Pharmaceutical Society professional portfolio

Speakers:
Paul Forsyth, FRPharmS (Consultant), Lead Pharmacist – Clinical Cardiology, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
Patsy Edwards, MFRPSII MRPharmS SFHEA, Assessment & Credentialing Lead, Royal Pharmaceutical Society

Chair:
Joanne Bateman, FRPharmS (Consultant), Lead Cardiology Pharmacist/Heart Failure Service Lead, Countess of Chester Hospital
