This webinar will cover aspects of the diagnosis and management of thyrotoxicosis in pregnancy and the postnatal period including diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and management in the postnatal period.
This event has been designed for primary and secondary care pharmacists involved in the care of maternity patients with thyrotoxicosis. This event is suitable for pharmacists who have recently specialised as well as those working at early advanced and advanced levels.
The aim of this webinar is to provide the necessary information so that attendees are able to understand the diagnosis and management of thyrotoxicosis in pregnancy and the postnatal period.
After this webinar, attendees should be able to:
- describe the aetiology and process of diagnosis of thyrotoxicosis in pregnancy
- identify treatment options and describe monitoring during pregnancy
- discuss management in the postnatal period +/- breastfeeding and long term follow-up
